Installing the Meridian Enterprise processors

The creation, transfer, and import of briefcases are performed in the background by the Meridian Enterprise processors running as Windows scheduled tasks. The Global Collaboration Framework uses executables and one DLL for this purpose:

Note    If the processors are installed on the same computer with the Meridian Enterprise 64-bit edition server components (not recommended), the Office Web Client must be also be installed on the computer from a Meridian Enterprise 32-bit edition setup program.

To install the processors for a new Global Collaboration Framework installation only:

  1. Run the setup program located at <Setup>\Meridian\Processors.

Tip    We recommend you install the processors in C:\GCF\Meridian.

Note    The setup program also merges the registry settings described in Merging registry settings.

To upgrade the processors for an existing Global Collaboration Framework installation:

  1. Copy the files listed above from <Setup>\Meridian\Processors\Install files to the folder on the server where the existing files are located, for example, C:\GCF\Meridian\Processors.
